FOUNTAINS OF COLUMBIA

In 1857, the people in the Gold Country town of Columbia need water for mining, for growing food, and for fighting the fires that threaten the town’s wooden buildings. Mary Leary is only 14, but she’s old enough to tell what happens when Californians fight over water. Touched with equal parts of humor and sadness, this fact-based drama was filmed at Columbia State Historic Park and other Tuolumne County sites.
