Students dive into world history through the eyes of historians—analyzing primary sources, debating big ideas, and building evidence-based arguments with every DBQ and document set.

COMPLETE SET
The complete set includes the Ancient–World Exploration set (15 units) and the Scientific Revolution–Globalization set (15 units)—a total of 30 reproducible units and 2 guides that bring global history into focus through rich primary sources and classroom debate.

Each reproducible unit features:

  • Two sets of documents presenting different points of view
  • Six worksheets—two interpretive and one comparative for each document group
  • A background essay, teacher introduction, and student directions
  • Two DBQs with writing suggestions and a DBQ scoring guide

Each teacher guide also includes three whole-class debate activities and reproducible handouts to help students organize their thinking and participate in structured argumentation.

Students learn to think critically and write persuasively by comparing perspectives, forming arguments, and engaging with historical questions that have no easy answers. It’s an ideal way to build DBQ skills, support inquiry-based instruction, and spark meaningful discussion in every unit.
